This season, we’ve partnered with our favorite American farmstead cheese purveyor, Saxelby Cheesemonger, to bring you a unique tasting experience that you can enjoy from the comfort of your home. Each of the wines in these exclusive collections has been expertly paired by the proprietors at Saxelby and the team at Lange.

We hope this collaboration brings you as much delight and inspiration as it has for us. Our two pack sets will serve two-to-four people, and our four pack set is portioned for larger groups of six-to-eight.

2019 Pinot Gris Reserve & Kunik

Straw-hued, the 2019 Pinot Gris Reserve opens slowly, with a nose that expresses precise layers of baked apple, pear, fresh herbs, and white flowers. In the mouth, it’s fresh and vivid, with partial fermentation in neutral oak puncheons and concrete contributing to a sense of mid-palate richess. Mineral undertones emerge on the finish. 
 

Kunik is a dreamy mold-ripened goat’s milk cheese spiked with fresh Jersey cream in the Adirondack Mountains at Nettle Meadow Farm. When young, Kunik has the texture of cold butter, and is light, tangy, and similar to crème fraîche in flavor. As it ripens, it becomes more supple and gamey, and the goat cheese flavors are more assertive. 

2018 Pinot Noir Reserve & Cave Aged Cheddar

“Very complex, assertive pinot with aromas of violets and blueberries and a fresh, sous-bois layer, too. The palate has a very composed feel with bright blueberries and smoothly delivered richness in the tannin department.”  93 Points | James Suckling

An award-winning cheddar that’s aged in the cellars at Jasper Hill Farm until it is sharp, mature, and delicious. The finished cheese is released for sale when it displays the perfect balance of savory depth, lactic brightness, and salt caramel sweetness.  .

2019 Three Hills Cuvée Chardonnay & Cave Aged Cheddar

The 2019 vintage shows off high-toned and lifted aromas of orchard fruit,  citrus blossom, white flowers, and fennel root. A round, rich palate bursts with citrus fruit and mandarin orange, followed by nuanced flavors of almond and spice. The finish is long and lush, with crisp acidity.  92 Points | Wine Enthusiast

2017 Three Hills Cuvée Pinot Noir & Raclette 

“This wine is jubilant. A blend of fruit from the Lange’s longtime fruit sources, including the Dundee Hills Estate and Freedom Hill, this is plump and forward without being overboard. This Alpine-style cheese from Spring Brook Farm represents the efforts of cheesemaker Jeremy Stephenson and a young French dairy consultant who hails from the Alps. Reading Raclette is a semi-firm wheel of raw cow’s milk cheese that is washed with saltwater brine until it matures at the tender age of 3-4 months. It’s a pliant, supple cheese with heady fruit flavors and rich milky notes.
