Shipping Method

Lange Estate Winery ships via UPS and FedEx. We cannot deliver alcohol to PO boxes, so a physical address is required. Delivery of alcoholic beverages requires the signature of someone 21+ years of age. We recommend shipping to a business address if no one will be present at your residence to sign for wine packages.

Please call us at (503) 538-6476 x2 if there are any issues with the delivery of your package. We can assist with delivery intercepts for an additional charge. You can also manage your deliveries directly by signing up for UPS MyChoice or FedEx Delivery Manager

Please note that Lange Estate Winery is not responsible for wines damaged by failed delivery attempts.

States We CANNOT Ship to:

  • Alabama (unless shipped directly to a state ABC store)
  • Mississippi
  • Utah
*Some states do offer an “onsite” sales exception, meaning a limited amount of wine can be shipped directly to you only if you order the wine in person, at the winery. For this reason, we cannot accept online/phone orders to these states. If you have any questions about why we cannot ship to your state, please call us at (503) 538-6476.

We currently do not ship wine outside of the United States.

Transit Times

Ground transit times vary between 1 and 7 business days, depending on destination. For example, a shipment from Dundee, OR to Seattle, WA usually takes one business day, while a shipment from Dundee, OR to New York, NY usually takes a full 5 business days.

3-Day Select service transit time is three business days.
2nd Day Air service transit time is two business days.
Overnight service transit time is one business day.

Temperature Controlled Ground transit times can take up to 14-18 days depending on when the order is received. We use a specialty shipping company for the major part of the temperature controlled transit, with UPS or FedEx only handling the package for the final 1-2 business days, for final delivery. Tracking for shipments in transit via Temperature Controlled Ground generally has very limited tracking, as the wines are not scanned at multiple carrier hubs along the way. Wine shipments remain on the truck to ensure a consistent temperature. Trucks are operated by a single driver.

Weather Holds & Restrictions

Severe weather can compromise wine. We keep a close eye on national forecasts to ensure we ship your wine in the best conditions possible. We may issue shipping advisories during the summer and winter, and may hold your wine shipment due to temperatures that are too hot or cold. The decision to ship wine at any time is ultimately yours, but we will not guarantee or replace wine that is weather-damaged once we’ve issued an advisory and informed you of the risk of shipping during extreme weather.

Please note that during times of extreme heat, even our temperature-controlled shipping method is not guaranteed, due to the last 1-2 days that the wines are in transit with non-refrigerated UPS or FedEx trucks.

If there are any weather-related concerns we highly recommend upgrading to an expedited shipping option, or simply holding the wines and waiting for temperatures that are more moderate.

Sales Taxes

Some states require we pay sales taxes (state, county, and/or local) on wine shipments. Tax is automatically added to your order at check out.
