The 2015 vintage marks our first foray into sparkling wine production.
A quick tour from the vineyard to bottling…..
We began farming our upper Estate Mia bloc during the 2014 growing season with an eye toward grooming those vines expressly for our first Methode Champinoise Brut Rose.
With the advent of an early harvest in 2015, we were ready to get cracking on the bountiful vintage and our new sparking wine project.
Long sunny days, and overnight temperatures registering higher than normal assured us of full, complex flavors and beautifully ripened fruit. The Pinot noir that we had lovingly tended for sparkling was harvested under clear skies and perfect conditions.
The resultant wine has now traveled from vine to cellar to tirage to bottling.
We are now watching over these few precious bottles while they
quietly convert the remaining sugars into the tiny little bubbles that characterize a fine sparkling wine.
